We offer a range of telephony services, including voice over IP, fax to email, and landlines for use with broadband, consultancy, telephones and telephone systems and installation.
VoIP means a lot of things to different people. To some it means chatting to friends over the internet for free. For others it is just a different way of wiring up their office. What is true is that VoIP is changing the whole way that individuals, companies and telcos view the way we talk to each other. More
We have a range of telecoms servcies and equipment that we can provide covering everything from an internet phone at home, to compelete corporate phone systems over multiple sites (even countries).
We generally use the SNOM range of phones, with the SNOM360 and SNOM300 being the ones we mostly sell. The SNOM 300 is a nice, inexpensive, telephone that has caller display, programmable buttons, hands free and can take a headset. It is simple to use, and ideal for a desk phone in an office or a home phone alike.
Whilst you can just get a phone to put on your desk, we can also provide telephone systems. These can be at your offices or centrally hosted in a data centre, allowing all of your staff to connect to one system over a wide area. The system can have conventional ISDN30 lines and/or internet connected telephone services. We can design a system to meet your needs.
BT are changing the whole of the UK phone system over the next few years. They are making it so that the core phone system works using VoIP. You will have the same phone at home as ever, but the way the call moves around the network will be different. This shows how VoIP is a mature technology ready for large scale development, and no less real than conventional telephone lines.
IMPORTANT: Whilst this is a convenient service and works much like a normal telephone it is not intended to be a replacement for PSTN access (e.g. landline/mobile). There is no access to emergency services (999 or 112) or operator assistance (100) from this service. Whilst calls can be made to most 0800 helpline numbers this is subject to operation of your internet connection and does not generally work if there is no power. Some equipment can provide power fail, and 999/112 access via a conventional landline connection but it is your responsibility to correctly configure such equipment.
