News Mobiles
Nov 2009: It has been around a decade since Andrews & Arnold Ltd did mobile phones, and in those days we sold Orange phones. We are pleased to announce that we expect to be doing something new with mobiles later in the year.
At this stage we do not have all of the details sorted out, but this would not be a simple re-sale of mobile phones and normal mobile contracts!
The plan is, as you would expect, to offer something different. This is not definite yet, but here are a few features we plan to include.
- SIM only, though we may simply resell some SIM-free models of mobile phone as well. No cheap phones with long airtime contracts! Phone and SIM are separate things.
- Low set up cost and very low ongoing costs.
- No silly packages - calls and texts will have sensible low costs.
- No minimum term.
- A range of numbering options, including normal 07 mobile numbers but also allowing geographic, 03 and even 0800 numbers for your mobile including outgoing CLI. Some numbers will have incoming call charges.
- Call recording options
Texts
We will be able to handle incoming and outgoing texts as well, though some number ranges cannot do incoming yet (e.g. 03 numbers). No idea on pricing yet.
Data
We hope to be able to do data as well but have no details yet.
Location services
No idea!
