Migration

Migration is changing from one service provider to another on a broadband service. This is a relatively simple process. Our price for your migrating to us is £9.99. There is no cost for migrating away from us, but invoices already issued must be paid in full even if you migrate within the period covered by the invoice.

Moving to us

The first step is to contact your exiting provider, and tell them you want to move. It is a good idea to confirm if they have any penalties or minimum term that they may charge you at this point. You need to ask them for a Migration Authorisation Code (also known as MAC, but not to be confused with Media Access Control codes used on ethernet cards). They must provide a migration code within 5 days.

Once you have done this, you can order using our on-line shop (see below). The whole process takes around a week.

Important notes :-

Order broadband
The normal install price is £59.99. If you are migrating from an existing provider (non LLU) then the price is only £9.99. You can also ask for a telephone line specially for your broadband line which makes the total install cost £176.32.
You are asked for line/address details and offered a choice of tariff when you go through the checkout.

Leaving us

If you wish to leave us please select a cease order or request a migration code using our on-line shop (see below). We will email any migration code to the address we have on the control pages on http://control.aaisp.net.uk/ which you are welcome to change as you wish. You can also call or email requesting a migration code and we will email to thew contact we have on the control pages. We do not give the code over the phone. You can ask us to re-issue the code and email again at any time. We do not normaly make any particular checks on who requests a code as we will only send the code by email to the registered contact. The code is only useful to migrate your line to another provider and is valid for 30 days from issue. If you receive a code that you did not request, do contact us, but you need not do anything to cancel the code in anyway as nothing happens if it is not used. You continue to pay for service invoiced until the migration is completed. Note that if you do not have your login details to change the email address, we will happily post a new information pack to the address at which service is provided.

Regrade

Regrading is changing from one speed or grade or service to another. We charge £1.00 (inc VAT) for a regrade to Max Premium, and £9.99 (inc VAT) for a regrade to Max Standard.

For most types of regrade, we can arrange this with minimal break in service (typically an hour, and usually in the middle of the night). Email or call sales to arrange a regrade.

Many regrades can be arranged in one working day, but they may take up to 5 working days. The new service charges apply from the next bill after the regrade is confirmed by BT (which may be before the regrade actually takes place).

Note that simply changing which tariff (usage level) you are on is not a regrade, and for which there is no charge. Tariff changes take effect from your next bill.
