Our pricing is designed to reflect the way we pay for facilities. This means the charges are created from several components which are added together.
Customers on older pricing for the London facility will be migrated to the new prices. See our colo pricing announcement for details.
| Size | All servers that we host have to be rack mounted in a standard 19" rack. The amount of space, measured in U (1¾" or 44.45mm) height. The depth of the server is not relevant as all servers are mounted the same way around for air flow. This is the way most servers have been priced in the past. A typical server will be 1U or 2U high. |
| Power | Power is a key factor in the cost of running the service. We measure the peak load of your server (typically running a CPU stress test). This is measured in Amps and this is used in the ongoing costs. We have to allow for peak power usage to ensure enough current to start all servers at once and ensure sudden usage of all machines does not blow a circuit breaker and affect everyone. There is no cost reduction for having lower typical current usage. |
| Bandwidth | Another common factor for hosting costs is bandwidth - how much internet traffic you used. We total data send to and from the port(s) you are connected to and charge per gigabyte. You can pre-agree a number of GB per month for which you pay less. Any under usage is lost. Over usage is charged at a top up rate which is higher. Usage is per server (totalled over the ports) regadless of where that traffic is to/from. We do provide an on-line graph showing usage and total for the month. It is your responsibility to monitor usage levels and pay for what you use. |
| Ports | You can have more than one ethernet port, and more than one power port. Each port has a cost as they use up switch ports, and switches cost money to install and maintain. |

Some of our customers are still on older pricing in Harbour Exchange Square. These prices include bandwidth is based on 95th percentile with 1Mb/s included in the monthly fee. Monthly pricing for co-location on Harbour Exchange Square: £87.50/mon for half depth 1U server; £175.00/mon for 1U low power; £200.00/mon for 1U high power; £300.00/mon for 2U low power.
